The Anhui Province Advanced Photovoltaic and New Energy Storage Industry Cluster Construction Promotion Conference was held in the sub-venue, and Liu Yujie, Secretary of the Fuyang Municipal Committee, expressed the need to accelerate the construction of a complete industrial chain development pattern and to create an advanced photovoltaic and new energy storage industry cluster with significant influence. Liu Yujie emphasized the importance of new energy storage and the need to improve industrial development plans and investment attraction work, relying on leading enterprises to strengthen and supplement the chain, and accelerate the construction of a new energy storage complete industrial chain layout covering battery materials - cell manufacturing - PACK production - system integration - battery recycling and utilization. At the same time, it is necessary to implement project support, dynamically update the project library for photovoltaic and energy storage industry, accelerate the construction of high-level research institutes and various technology research and development centers, and attract more high-level talents.

[Lithium Battery: Times BAIC Battery Factory's First Cell Rolls Off Production Line]

Recently, the first cell rolled off the production line at the battery factory of Times BAIC (Beijing) New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., marking the start of the mass production phase. Times BAIC was jointly invested in and constructed by CATL, BAIC Group, Beijing Energy Group, and Xiaomi Group. Currently, construction of the factory is nearing completion, with equipment for the second production line undergoing commissioning. Full-scale production is expected to commence in August. For the entire year of 2026, the factory is projected to produce 7.5 GWh of cells. Once the project reaches full capacity, it will form an annual power battery production capacity of 15 GWh, significantly enhancing the product strength and cost advantages for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei vehicle manufacturers such as BAIC and Xiaomi.
