According to foreign media reports, French mining group Eramet will continue to push forward its plan to increase lithium production in Argentina and plans to double nickel ore production in Indonesia. The company believes that by expanding production scale and optimizing resource utilization, it can resist the impact of global economic weakness.
In Argentina, Eramet has approved the second phase of its Centenario lithium project. The goal of this project is to produce about 30,000 tons of lithium carbonate equivalent (LCE) per year in the next few years, while the goal of the first phase is 24,000 tons, which is expected to be put into production in the second quarter of 2024.
