Spot Premiums of Zinc In Tianjin Were Firm

SHANGHAI, Sep 21 (SMM) - In Tianjin, #0 zinc ingot was mostly traded at 22100~22340 yuan/mt, Zijin zinc 22180~22380 yuan/mt, and Huludao zinc 26820 yuan/mt. In terms of premium/discount, #0 zinc was quoted with premiums of 380~480 yuan/mt over SHFE 2310 contract, Zijin zinc 460~520 yuan/mt, and 190 yuan/mt over Shanghai prices.

As of noon of September 21, spot premiums of ordinary brand Chihong stood at 420~480 yuan/mt over SHFE 2310 zinc contract, Hongye 450 yuan/mt, KZ zinc 380 yuan/mt, Kazakhstan zinc 170 yuan/mt (delivery in warehouse), and high-priced brand Zijin 460~520 yuan/mt. Zinc prices has rebounded today, and downstream purchasing enthusiasm has declined slightly. Tight supply kept spot premiums firm. The overall trading was muted. #1 zinc ingot prices were 21860~22030 yuan/mt today.
