SHANGHAI, Jun 9 (SMM) – Aluminium plate/sheet and strip: The PMI for the sector dipped 7.2 points MoM to 36.3 in May. Downstream demand was sluggish, and the overall market supply was in a surplus. Most enterprises reported declines in both new orders and backlog orders in May, forcing them to lower operating rates. The market will enter the traditional off-season in June, thus the PMI will remain below 50.
