SHANGHAI, Apr 14 (SMM) – Insufficient automobile consumption led to poor orders at secondary aluminium alloy plants. And orders from other end sectors did not improve noticeably. Transactions in the secondary aluminium alloy market were thin this week.
Large secondary aluminium alloy plants maintained stable production on the back of sufficient orders, while small and medium-sized ones may have to slash their output due to falling orders and shrinking profits amid intensified market competition. In the short term, the overall operating rates are expected to be basically flat or fall.
