#0 Zinc Premiums in Guangdong to Grow

SHANGHAI, Mar 6 (SMM) - #0 zinc was mainly quoted with premiums of 0 yuan/mt over the SHFE 2304 zinc, with discounts of about 0 yuan/mt against Shanghai prices. Zinc prices rallied from lows last week. Market purchases were good in the first half of the week, and there were many bidders, driving up the spot premiums. In the second half of the week, premiums grew further amid the rigid demand and the low arrivals. It is expected that in the second half of this week, due to the maintenance of a smelter and the power rationing in Yunnan, the long-term supply will fall, and the holders will be reluctant to sell, thus the premiums will increase further.
