SHANGHAI, Feb 9 (SMM) - On January 8, the United States announced that the EIA crude oil inventory for the week ending February 3 stood at 2.42 million barrels, lower than the previous print of 4.14 million and the estimate of 2.457 million. As a result, the silver prices climbed slightly today.
The silver prices opened at $22.29 per ounce today. The average ex-factory price of SMM 1# silver in the morning session stood at 4,963 yuan/kg, up 7 yuan/kg or 0.1% compared with yesterday.
According to SMM survey, the spot premiums of silver at major manufacturers were about 2 yuan/kg, while the spot premiums of 1# silver ingots (99.99%) was about 1 yuan/kg. The premium has risen slightly approaching the delivery.
