[Indonesian Government Introduces New Tariff Policy on Nickel Products, Effective April 26]

Jakarta, April 16, 2025 — The President of Indonesia officially signed the new nickel product tariff policy on April 11, which will take effect on April 26. According to the new regulations, royalties for various nickel products will be dynamically adjusted based on the HMA benchmark price. The ranges are as follows:

Nickel Ore: 14% - 19% (2% if grade ≤1.5)

NPI: 5% - 7%

Nickel Matte: 3.5% - 5.5%

Ferronickel: 4% - 5%
