SHFE tin showed a fluctuating downward trend today. The opening price of the SHFE tin 2502 contract was 248,960 yuan/mt, with a daily decrease in open interest of 1,235 lots, bringing the total open interest to 22,100 lots. The daily trading volume was 71,000 lots.
In the spot market: Some smelters maintained a sentiment to stand firm on quotes, while most traders actively sold. Premiums and discounts for various brands of tin ingots remained stable. Although SHFE tin prices slightly plunged in the afternoon, following copper prices, and slid to 244,000 yuan/mt, downstream purchasing sentiment was not strong.
Most traders indicated that trading remained weak today, with some traders only achieving sales of 10-20 mt. Overall, the spot market trading activity was low.
In Indonesia: JFX showed a trading volume of 500 mt of TLEAD300 tin ingots yesterday, with a relatively stable shipment status at present.
