Today, the average price of SMM 1# lead increased by 75 yuan/mt from yesterday to 19,450 yuan/mt. Lead prices kept climbing. In the north China market, secondary lead supply was tight, and many producers suspended quotations. In the south China market, mainstream supply was offered at a discount of around 50 yuan/mt to the average price of SMM 1# lead. Ex-factory prices excluding tax were reported at 18,450-18,550 yuan/mt. Downstream producers made purchases based on rigid demand, and transactions were moderate.
