SHANGHAI, Oct. 29 (SMM) -- Today, domestic prices for cobalt oxide (II, III) climbed to RMB 230,000-235,000/mt from RMB 225,000-230,000/mt.
SMM believes costs remain the major factor behind the price hike. At present, mainstream traded prices for cobalt chloride have risen to RMB 72,000/mt, and costs of cobalt oxide (II, III) have reached to RMB 235,000/mt. SMM predicts domestic prices for cobalt products will continue to rise slightly, as prices for cobalt ore and other raw materials advanced, and downstream demand remained stable.
