SHANGHAI, Oct. 20 (SMM) -- Market players re-entered the market with the end of LME annual meeting, and both the strike news and weakened dollar also contributed to higher copper prices, so LME copper prices took the lead in the upward movement for base metals. LME three-month contract copper prices closed at USD 6,480/mt, up USD 235/mt. LME copper inventories declined by 1,125mt, bringing total inventories to 356,725mt. Copper prices soared, but the sustainability of the upward momentum for copper prices is uncertain.
