[Minor metal] Higher Wait-and-see Sentiment in Manganese Market
SHANGHAI, Oct. 19 (SMM) -- Today, mainstream offers for refined manganese are RMB 12,900-13,100/mt, and mainstream traded prices were about RMB 12,900/mt during weekend. Ex warehouse in Europe was USD 2,550-2,650/mt on October 16th.
Market players held a wait-and-see attitude in manganese market in early this week, with low trading sentiment. A trader in Ningbo city said mainstream traded prices were in the RMB 12,900-13,000/mt range during weekend in manganese market, and a number of traders accessed goods at RMB 12,800/mt. At present, most market players stood on the sidelines due to unstable manganese prices.
SMM also contacted selected manganese firms, and most of them said mainstream traded prices were in the RMB 12,900-13,000/mt range during weekend, and the trading sentiment was very lukewarm. They preferred to adopt a wait-and-see attitude in early this week.
