SHANGHAI, Sept. 29 (SMM) -- LME copper prices slipped due to strengthened US dollar, but later climbed given softened US dollar, rising US stocks and increasing crude oil prices. LME copper prices closed at USD 5,960/mt, down USD 35/mt. LME copper inventories increased by 3,650mt, bringing total inventories to 344,350mt. The decline in copper prices stimulated the purchasing interest in spot market, resulting in increasing trading volumes and brisk market sentiment. Copper prices are expected to fluctuate at low levels before China's National Day holiday.
