BEIJING, Sept. 25 -- Demand for fireproof materials such as silicon carbide on China's market will be growing in recent weeks, due to the re-warming of the metallurgical industry, according to Chinese traders in the industry.

A fireproof material producer in south China supplying products for aluminum plants declares that it receives more orders for silicon carbide recently, which will guarantee their production in October and November.

Another producer from central China's Henan province expects the growing demand for silicon carbide will continue until early November. He expects the sales will increase to 500 tons in September, almost two times from that in July and August.
