[Cu] Summary - 2009/9/21 Scrap Copper Market

SHANGHAI, Sept. 21 (SMM) -- North China, today #1 scrap copper was traded at RMB 44,400-44,600/mt, traders were reluctant to sell goods, while inquiries from downstream manufacturers were up, and they planed to build stocks when prices were low, but deals were hardly to be done.

    East China, today #1 scrap copper was traded at RMB 44,500-44,700/mt, offers were mixed in the market, and cargo-holders stood on the sidelines, leaving limited market supply, while downstream buying interest was low, resulting in weak transactions.

    South China, today #1 scrap copper was traded at RMB 45,100-45,300/mt, traders were firm with offers, but buyers refused to accept, so the market sentiment was neutral.
