SHANGHAI, Sept. 21 (SMM) -- Both SHFE and LME copper inventories experienced growth. SHFE copper inventories increased by 6,852mt last week, bringing total inventories to 104,248mt, and LME copper inventories grew by 3,325mt last Friday, bringing total inventories to 327,700mt. In the mean time, the US dollar strengthened after several-day decline, so copper prices slipped. LME three-month contract copper prices closed at USD 6,140/mt, down USD 225/mt. LME copper prices fell again, and the higher purchasing interest when copper prices were low will help support copper prices to stabilize.
