SHANGHAI, Sept. 14 (SMM) -- Silicon metal prices remained stable on Monday in domestic market, with no improvement in domestic demand.
A factory in Yunnan province said they have raised ex-works prices last week, mainly for new customers, which exerted limited impact on overall cargo movement. Most market insiders said silicon metal market remained stable currently, and will report no significant changes before National Day.
SMM believes silicon metal prices lacked upward momentum before export market environment improves given current weak domestic demand.
