[Cu] SMM Morning Review - 2009/9/14 Copper Market

SHANGHAI, Sept. 14 (SMM) -- Although the US dollar weakened, and the consumer confidence index in the US was positive during September, LME copper prices closed at USD 6,240/mt, down USD 75/mt. LME copper inventories increased by 750mt, bringing total inventories to 318,325mt. Last week, SHFE copper inventories increased significantly by 10,288mt, generating investors' concern over domestic demand during seasonal peak demand period, so SHFE copper prices are expected to move down today.
