SHANGHAI, Sept. 11 (SMM) -- The shortages of confidence in demand during seasonal peak demand period and constant growth in LME copper inventories generated investors’ concerns. LME copper prices fell to a low point of USD 6,220/mt, but closed at USD 6,315/mt finally, down USD 65/mt, positively affected by dropping number of claims for unemployment benefits in the US. LME copper inventories increased by 775mt, bringing total inventories to 317,575mt. Today, China’s economic data and preliminary import and export data from Customs will be released today. Copper imports during August are expected to decline.
