SHANGHAI, Aug. 13 (SMM) -- Last night, base metal prices were sluggish, and nickel prices fell by more than USD 400/mt. However, nickel prices bottomed out after the Fed announced the interest rate decision, and market players became optimistic towards market recovery. In the mean time, it is worth noting that positions increased further, signaling market struggles remained intense at higher prices in the short term. Nickel prices are expected to move in the USD 19,000-20,000/mt range in the near future.
