[Ni] CBI Morning Review - 2009/7/27 Nickel Market

SHANGHAI, July 27 (CBI China) -- Last Friday, the positive economic data from Euro areas boosted market sentiment. The German IFO business climate index soared to nigh-month high and has risen for 4 consecutive months, signaling the global economy has recovered from the most serious recession since World War II. The investors’ optimistic with regard to economic outlook drove up LME base metal prices. LME nickel price closed at USD 16,776/mt, up 3.23%. Technically, LME nickel price has broken the previous high level, as both trading volumes and positions increased. LME nickel price is expected to move up further.
