SHANGHAI, July 24 (CBI China) -- Currently, domestic demand for refined selenium was weak, leaving thin possibility the price will grow significantly. However, refined selenium prices will climb with the tightening spot supply, so the price will remain firm in the short term.
Domestic large suppliers reported shortages of spot goods in hand, leading to decreased market supply, while operating rates at refined manganese factories increased further, resulting in steady growth in selenium dioxide demand, so selenium dioxide prices will be strong in the near future.
Next week, refined selenium prices will fluctuate around RMB 400/kg; selenium dioxide will be traded around RMB 300/kg.
