SHANGHAI, July 23 (CBI China) -- Yesterday, the US dollar softened slightly, and China’s imports of base metals remained high during June, driving up copper price significantly. In the short term, copper price will continue to move upward and is expected to reach USD 6,000/mt. Nickel price was not as strong as copper price, but it received strong support and will likely rise in the medium term. However, nickel price will likely fall slightly to the support level of USD 16,000/mt in the short term due to previous overlarge growth.
