SHANGHAI, July 23 (CBI China) -- China's imports of base metals during June continued to soar, triggering the investors' confidence and optimism in Chinese demand. Meanwhile, the softened US dollar resulted in the re-entrance of buy orders, which help support overnight LME base metals prices to rise strongly. LME aluminum price closed at USD 1,755/mt, up USD 51/mt. The inventories increased to 4,555,475mt. Although spot supply was sufficient and transactions were weak in domestic market, aluminum price will continue to fluctuate in the high level propelled by strong LME aluminum price and capital surplus in domestic market.
