SHANGHAI, July 3 (CBI China) -- Operating rates at refined manganese factories were relatively high currently, and the domestic market reported relatively balanced supply and demand, with slight oversupply.
The cost helped support refined manganese prices remain at RMB 12,500/mt. The ex-works price level of RMB 13,000/mt was higher than the psychological price of stainless steel factories, leaving low buying interest.
Next week, if the demand remains stable, refined manganese prices will move in the RMB 12,500-13,000/mt range; once the sales of stainless steel become poorer, refined manganese prices are expected to fall to the range of RMB 12,000-12,500/mt due to support shortages from downstream demand.
