






SHANGHAI, July 3 (CBI China) -- The US announced that the number of non-farm employment declined by 467,000 during June, higher than the expected level of 363,000. This news dragged down stock markets and drove up US dollar. In this context, LME copper price lost previous gains, and LME three-month contract copper price closed at USD 5,040/mt, down USD 70/mt. LME copper inventories declined by 1,500mt, bringing total inventories to 264,225mt. Copper price fluctuated following changes in macro economic data during this week, and the spot market showed cautious performance, leaving falling trading volumes. SHFE copper price is expected to weaken today.
