SHANGHAI, June 24 (CBI China) -- The US dollar softened upon the market expectation that the Federal Reserve will temper monetary policy, and the stock market stabilized as well. Both moves boosted the copper price. LME three-month contract copper price closed at USD 4,850/mt, up USD 105/mt. LME inventories declined by 1,325mt, bringing total inventories to 276,275mt. Yesterday, SHFE copper price rose at closing, while spot market showed a relatively strong performance, so any downward room for copper price will be limited over next few days.
