[Zn] Domestic Output of Zinc Concentrate Grows Steadily

SHANGHAI, June 23 (CBI China) -- According to the latest statistics from China Nonferrous Metals Industry Association, China’s output of refined zinc was 335.5kt during May, up 600mt compared to April. Domestic output of zinc concentrate was 318.8kt during May, up 58.9% MoM, and the YTD cumulative output was 1.445 million mt, down 5.2% YoY, and the decline has slowed significantly compared to last month level of 23.3%.

    The production of zinc ingot remains stable, and the production of zinc concentrate is under resumption, which is line with CBI forecast. Domestic output of both zinc ingot and zinc concentrate will reach above 300kt during June.
