Zinc Futures in Shanghai Rise to Highest Since September 2008

SHANGHAI, June 12 -- Zinc futures jumped to the highest since September last year on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

    The metal for September delivery gained as much as 2.7 percent to 14,095 yuan ($2,063) a metric ton, the highest since Sept. 26, and was at 14,055 yuan a ton at 10:20 a.m. Shanghai time.
