SHANGHAI, June 10 (CBI China) -- According to CBI statistics, China’s NPI equivalent to pure nickel supply was 6,600mt in April, up 4.5% MoM, with the NPI equivalent to pure nickel supply of 6,300mt in March. The output continued to increase since January.
NPI producers kept restarting production as nickel price bottomed out. Market insiders said a portion of producers would reopen capacity in mid-June. As it will take some time for some equipments to go back to normal conditions after long-term idleness, large volumes of supply are expected to flow into market in late June and July.
