SHANGHAI, May 26 (CBI China) -- Demand remained weak in domestic selenium market, and the transactions were very limited. Selenium powder was mainly traded in the RMB 370-400/kg range; selenium dioxide was traded in the RMB 275-285/kg range.

Sources report that the downstream glass and ceramic sectors will enter seasonal low production period, leading to limited demand; while the demand from refined manganese producers remained stable. Both producers and traders have limited spot goods, so the market remained in balance.

It is reported that China’s imports of selenium were 118mt during April, down 19% MoM.
