Ji En Nickel: Acquisition of Canadian Mines Nodded by Regulator

SHANGHAI, May 22 -- The Shanghai-listed Jilin Ji En Nickel Industry Co. announced Thursday that the National Development and Reform Commission has approved its acquisition of shares in Canadian Liberty Mines Inc.

    The company said in mid-April that it planned to invest 30 million Canadian dollars to buy a 51 percent stake in Canadian Liberty Mines, adding that the deal had been nodded by Toronto Stock Exchange and waited for approval from the Chinese regulators.
