SHANGHAI, May 20 (CBI China) -- LME copper price grew significantly due to soft US dollar and rising stock market, but then fell due to the unexpected declines in housing starts in April in the US. LME three-month contract copper price closed at USD 4,580/mt, up USD 35/mt. The inventories declined by 4,725mt to 348,825mt. Yesterday, SHFE copper price closed at increase limit propelled by LME copper price trend. However, today SHFE copper price is expected to fluctuate slightly in view of falling LME copper price and weak consumption.
