[Minor metal] Trading Volumes Down in Domestic Refined Manganese Market
SHANGHAI, May 19 (CBI China) -- As domestic refined manganese prices continued to rise, the trading volumes became less. Today, the refined manganese prices climbed to RMB 12,800/mt.
It is reported that the medium and small purchasers in Ningbao and Dainan regions could not accept the price over RMB 12,700/mt, so they adopted wait-and-see attitude. Currently, the stainless steel factories remained normal operations, leading stable demand for refined manganese. However, the profits of stainless steel producers were relatively low, so they could not accept the refined manganese price rise. Hence, the trading volumes declined.
