SHANGHAI, May 19 (CBI China) -- Recently, chrome ore prices rose slightly in Oman lump ore market, with price for lump ore (32%) at RMB 21-23/dmt and price for lump ore (38%) at RMB 30-31/dmt. Market insiders said the price hike was attributed to two reasons. The market inventories declined after a period of consumption; besides, some traders were unwilling to sell, leading to tight supply in the market.

In summary, chrome ore market remained quiet recently. As ferrochrome market showed a weak performance, the ferrochrome producers adopted a cautious attitude toward purchased of chrome ore.
