[Minor metal] Refined Manganese Prices up in Domestic Market

SHANGHAI, May 18 (CBI China) -- Refined manganese prices rose to RMB 12,700-13,000/mt from RMB 12,500-12,700/mt in domestic market, with slim transactions.

    As the supply and demand conditions remained in balance in domestic market, so manganese was mainly traded around RMB 12,700/mt.

    It is reported that the relevant government apartments planed to conduct the production safety inspection in local refined manganese factories in western Hunan province. So far, no factories shut down due to the tailings dam accident occurring on May 14th in western Hunan province.
