SHANGHAI, May 15 (CBI China) -- This week, domestic sulfuric acid price continued to fall, with the largest decline of RMB 150/mt in Northeast and North China, and the actual trading price was less than RMB 150/mt in some regions; while the decline rate for the price was RMB 20-50/mt in Central and South China, with the actual trading price at RMB 90-200/mt; the decline rate was RMB 20/mt in Southwest region, with the actual trading price at RMB 300/mt.

The operating rates in ammonium phosphate industry will fall further, as the fertilizer markets enter the off-peak season for consumption. Besides, the imported low-price sulfuric acid has always exerted negative impact on domestic acid markets, and the sulfur price will likely experience a slight decline during May and June, so the sulfuric acid price will remain low in domestic market in the short term, with weak demand.
