SHANGHAI, May 14 (CBI China) -- As the operating rates at domestic large stainless steel mills continued to improve during this month, NPI producers said recent orders they received were good, and a portion of producers in Shandong region said they had no spot goods in hand as the orders have been set to late May and early June. The purchasing enterprises said the spot NPI is hard to be available in the market, with the price soaring to the range of RMB 3,000-3,100/mt.

Recently, coke price rose to RMB 1,600/mt. The market insiders said if coke price continues to climb, NPI price will likely increase further due to tight NPI market supply.
