SHANGHAI, May 14 (CBI China) -- The US industrial output and retail sales experienced declines, and the US and European stock market slumped, dampening the copper price. LME three-month contract copper price closed at USD 4,445/mt, down USD 140/mt. LME inventories declined by 5,275mt to 373,750mt. Yesterday, SHFE copper price rise was unacceptable in spot market, and the spot consumption remained sluggish. Today, SHFE copper price is expected to track the downward trend of LME copper price, so copper price will remain weak in the near future.
