SHANGHAI, May 13 (CBI China) -- Yesterday, base metal prices fluctuated slightly in Asian time, but soared in European time, and then fell plagued by soft US stock market. Currently, the fundamentals of all base metals failed to support price to rise further. Since US dollar continued to fall, even closing to a record low, from late April, base metal prices continued to pick up, an indication of sufficient cash flow, as well as the investors continued to exchange their cash for stocks and commodities. Weak demand will erode upward momentum for nickel price since the supply and demand condition remains a major factor for the market prices.
