SHANGHAI, May 6 (CBI China) -- Selenium dioxide prices fell slightly in domestic market due to weak demand, and the traded prices have fallen to RMB 280-290/kg from RMB 300/kg.
CBI believes two reasons contributed to the declines in selenium dioxide prices. Refined manganese price fell to around cost price, so the factories who were ready for the operation deferred their plans, and the portion of potential demand failed to become the actual demand; in addition, a portion of refined manganese factories planed to cut and limit productions, leading to decreasing demand. Selenium dioxide prices will likely fall further in the foreseeable future.
