[Minor metal] Forecast of Domestic Manganese Market Next Week
SHANGHAI, Apr. 30 (CBI China) -- After Labor Day holiday, some medium producers whose cost in the RMB 12,500-13,000/mt range will cut or suspend production, leading to further declines in operating rates. Stainless steel market will remain weak in the short term, and the demand for refined manganese will be weak as well, so the market will be in balance, with the price stabilizing at RMB 12,000/mt. However, the price is expected to rise slightly along with the declines in the supply. Manganese price will likely move in the RMB 12,000-12,500/mt range in early May.
