SHANGHAI, Apr. 28 (CBI China) -- Domestic cobalt price continued to fall slightly due to weakening demand and slim transactions. Current prices were RMB 75,000-78,000/mt for cobalt chloride, while prices were RMB 65,000-67,000/mt for cobalt sulfate.
Sources report that cobalt salt prices declines were mainly to the approach of off season for demand, especially under current weak economic conditions. Additionally, the continuous flows of imported refined cobalt weighted on domestic market, driving the prices of cobalt salt down.
CBI believes domestic cobalt salt prices will likely to fall further along with decreasing demand. Currently, high ore price helps support the prices of cobalt salt.
