






SHANGHAI, Apr. 17 (CBI China) -- China announced that 1Q GDP increased by 6.1%, down 4.5% YoY, lower than expected, dampening the copper price. However, the declines in the inventories helped the copper to fall at a slower pace. Three-month LME copper closed at USD 4,750/mt, down USD 102.5/mt. The inventories declined by 5,200mt to 475,200mt. Recently, copper price is likely to experience moving sentiment recently negatively affected by macro economy, but will still be strong.
