SHANGHAI, Apr. 3 (CBI China) -- This week, silicon prices tracked the slowly downward trend last week, with the price of all silicon metals down slightly. A portion of factories resumed production, exerting negative impact on the market price. It is said the cost of low-grade silicon was about RMB 8,500/mt, with limited downward room.
CBI believes the inquiries from overseas market increased recently, which may slow down the falling price; moreover, the price closing the cost caused the unwillingness to sell at factories, restricting the price to fall further. The silicon price is expected to stabilize next week.
