TOKYO, Dec. 27 -- Japan's refined zinc exports for November fell 0.5 percent from a year earlier to 7,135 tonnes for an 11th straight month of declines, but the drop shrank sharply from October's 18 percent slide, Ministry of Finance data showed.

Taiwan was the top destination, accounting for 27 percent of total export volume, followed by China with 17 percent.

Zinc is mainly used as an anti-corrosive coating in galvanised steel production and in plating.
