LME: Lists New Steel Billet, Aluminum Alloy Brands

LONDON, Dec. 8 -- The London Metal Exchange Monday said it has approved the listing of new steel billet and aluminum alloy brands.

The steel brand, CALVISANO, is produced by Italy's Acciaierie di Calvisano. Its Brescia smelter has a capacity of 700,000 metric tons.

The aluminum alloy brand, HMD, is produced by China's Suzhou Huameida Aluminum Co. Ltd. The company's ChangShu smelter is able to produce 50,000 tons of aluminum alloy a year in the shape of ingots, with a piece weight of six kilograms and a bundle weight of 1,000 kilograms, the exchange said in a notice to its members.
