Sep. 26 (SMM) – The steel structure of Kivcet furnace plant in Jiangxi Copper Group's  200 kt/yr lead and zinc smelting project, has been being lifted since Sep. 15th. This indicates formal start-up of the construction project for lead and zinc smelting, and is expected to be capped at the end of this year.

It is known that Kivcet is the most advanced process of smelting lead directly in the world, with features like scale production, low energy consumption, high recycled rate, environmental friendliness and wide acceptance to raw materials. This is also the first for Kivcet furnace to be used in China.
