Restrictions on Electricity Supplies in China

Restrictions on Electricity Supplies - According to the 11th Five-Year Plan for national economic and social development of China, China has to reduce the energy consumption per unit of GDP by 20% and cut the major pollutant emission by 10% from 2006 to 2010. As the deadline for reaching the energy saving and emission reduction targets for the 11th Five-Year Plan is approaching, many provincial governments have been implementing power restrictions policies, especially targeting high-energy-consuming enterprises.
